Assignment 1 1. Which process group starts at the start and ends at the end of the project and why? Monitoring and controlling is the process group that starts at the start and ends at the end as it performs integrated change control to manage and control changes to the cost baseline, scope and schedule. Further, it helps in analyzing and measuring the performance of the project and finding the variation of the project from the project management plan and provides asolutions to those problems. 2. Why does the closing process group start so early in the chart? Since some project deliverables get finished before and get the sponsor acknowledgment that is the reason the closing process group begins ahead of schedule in the chart. 3. Why do the planning and execution process groups have similar shapes and why is the executing process group skewed to the right? Both the planning and the execution process groups have the same shape as we know that everything that is thought ahead and gets regard in planning process group will be done in the execution process group. Since the execution is done when the fulfillment of the planning process group, the execution process group is tilted towards the right. Nonetheless, the most elevated measure of cash and time of all the process groups is taken by execution process group. 4.
